DECEMBER WOMAN OF THE MONTH
Born and raised in Victoria, graduated from Goliad High School in 1999. Graduated with an English degree from Texas A&M University in 2005. Started working for Hilton National Sales and stayed in Dallas for 7 years. Moved back to Victoria in 2012 to open the Homewood Suites Hotel as their Director of Sales and Marketing. My family was way more important to me than my life in Dallas and I am so glad I came home to be apart of an amazing community. My mom owned the Party Parrot so I found my passion in marketing and event planning. Between my mom and dad (who has been with Air Liquide for 47 years) I have learned work ethics and how to be a part of a community. As a mom of 3 dogs, you will find me breaking my back for a stray animal, a human, a family member, and many friends. Firm believer in Christ and member of First English Lutheran Church.
Empowering Women through Educational Scholarships
Today’s scholarship recipients are tomorrow’s leaders. ABWA members have provided opportunities for women to achieve their personal and professional best by championing educational opportunities through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF). Since 1953, SBMEF has awarded almost 18 million dollars in scholarships to more than 17,000 women. To learn more about available scholarships, go to sbmef.org.
